This is from Casanova (BBC, 2005) and is my first ever full frame matte painting. If you look carefully you'll see that its an absolute mess but hey, everyone was happy.
I built up the shot from a couple of stills taken in Venice. The director and I took a lot of inspration from another matte painting from a feature film. As soon as I find out who it was I'll give proper credit...
